“You’re up… this is your shot.” That’s what my boss said to me just when I was thinking about walking away from my Security Job.

I didn’t expect it, could have never anticipated it but that fateful night launched my career and I never looked back.

It happened years ago when I was trying to get a job as a Security officer. I had been working the overnight shift at a new Mall called Africa Mall –

I would do a little bit of writing and a lot of running around – and downing a lot of coffee to stay awake through the night.

None of that made me feel much like a Security. I had just graduated with Degree in Graphics Design

I had used all my techniques I share in my Creating Power course to try and jump-start my career. I stayed positive, visualized, meditated, believed in myself and yet here I was doing these mundane tasks hoping to land a job as Graphics Designer

The struggle had been going on for too long and I was about to give up. I had even told my boss I was seriously thinking about leaving the Security and going to Law School because it just didn’t seem like things were working out.

But I decided to hang in there for a few more weeks just to see if anything would come up. Call it instinct, call it universal guidance, call it what you want – I just decided to hang in a little longer.

everybody looked at me in a funny way. “What?” I asked curiously.

. You’re up… this is your shot.”

I almost fell on the floor. But I didn’t. Instead, I seized the moment and read the news throughout the night. The Executives in charge liked my work so much they gave me the job! And that launched my career… when I was just about to quit.

Sometimes we feel like giving up just when we’re on the verge of success.

It’s easy to get down, get negative and talk yourself into walking away from something instead of pushing forward and giving it one more shot.

I could have quit the week before and who knows what would have happened but I chose to hang in there and give it one last chance.

I could have let the negative thoughts get the better of me. I could have said: “I’m not ready to jump into the Anchor’s seat just yet” when they asked me to – but I didn’t.

Don’t give up too soon – you may be closer to succeeding than you realize.

Don’t let the negative thoughts, doubts and fears hold you back. Keep believing in yourself and never give up.

There will be times when your mind tries to convince you to give up. It will feed you all kinds of negative thoughts and come up with all kinds of reasons for you to quit and give up.

Don’t let those negative thoughts get the better of you. Take control and feed your mind and subconscious mind positive thoughts and positive beliefs.

Your subconscious picks up on your thoughts and beliefs. It creates your life based on those thoughts and beliefs. Your subconscious simply brings you the opportunities and people that mirror your thoughts and beliefs.

By focusing on what I wanted, by filling my mind with positive thoughts and positive beliefs, by believing in myself and refusing to give up, my subconscious got to work and created the opportunity for me to succeed.

After that I went on to have a long, successful career as a Journalist in New York.

You might call it luck and maybe that’s how luck works… you focus on something, believe in yourself, don’t give up, stay positive and somehow things work out.

You may not win the lottery, you may not marry the girl or boy you had a crush on in high school, you may not get that job or promotion you want – but things will work out and they’ll be even better than you expect when you’re positive and open to new possibilities. Things will work out for you when you

I had no idea the Anchor would call in sick and I’d get the biggest career break of my life (I’ve got more similar stories I’ll share later). Things like that just don’t happen. I was about to give up but didn’t and in some strange way the universe and my subconscious mind made sure things worked out.

They will work out for you as well – be positive and be open-minded.

If you’re struggling with negative thoughts, doubts and fears then I would suggest you start using my Creating Power course. I give you simple techniques and exercises to get rid of the negative thoughts and negative beliefs holding you back – so you get your subconscious mind and the universe to help you succeed

I attracted the right opportunities at the right time in my career and in my life by using the very same

You too can do the same. The right opportunity is within reach – you just have to attract and see it.

Wishing you tremendous success
